Holly Jefferson appointed Associate Director of Alumni Relations and Development

Holly Jefferson has been appointed as the University of South Carolina School of Medicine’s Associate Director of Alumni Relations and Development, effective Oct. 16, 2017.

Jefferson’s hiring follows the retirement of long-time Director of Alumni Relations Debbie Truluck. As a member of the USC Office of Development and Alumni Relations, Jefferson will be responsible for overseeing alumni programming, the school’s annual appeals and family fund drives.

She additionally served as an executive assistant to Frank Martin, the men’s head basketball coach and as the coordinator of public relations for the USC Men’s Basketball Office for the past five seasons.

During her time with Athletics, Holly spear-headed the “100 Years of Basketball” celebration, and has been involved in planning and overseeing a myriad of alumni and donor events. Over the years, she has played a key role in developing and cultivating positive relationships with former athletes.

Jefferson lettered four years in basketball at East Tennessee State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in public relations and minored in marketing. She is a graduate of Dutch Fork High School in Irmo. She is married to Rian Jefferson, a firefighter. The couple has a 14-month-old daughter, Solee Gray, who they call Gray.

Jefferson is excited to take the next step in her career with the School of Medicine. She may be contacted via email at Holly.Jefferson@uscmed.sc.edu, or by phone at 803-216-3303.
